Be strong! We must prove ourselves strong for our people and for the cities of our God. May the LORD’s will be done.” 2 Samuel 10:12 KJV
Endurance athletes have long been known for their charitable efforts on behalf of others. Less well-known, are the many strength events organized to benefit our brothers and sisters who are struggling with challenges. For example, Adrian Larsen, a great guy and a silver back gorilla in the bench press despite being born with a severe hip condition, recently put together the 2015 Lift For Autism in his home state of Oregon.
I’m posting this for no other reason than to encourage those of you who lift to participate in these events when you can or if you can’t to consider sending a donation to help out. If you’re not sure where to start, try Relentless Detroit.
Even better, organize your own event to help those around you who are struggling.
