Training in the garage by yourself is tough. You usually don’t have the camaraderie of other gym members to help push you. To help out, we combed the web to find videos that will help motivate you to keep striving to be your best.
Today’s video is from Marilia Coutinho who is a professor and head coach at MAD Powerlifting, creator of a continuing education program in strength training, a multiple World record holding powerlifter and a contributing editor to Powerlifting Watch which is where you can find out the latest powerlifting results, news about upcoming meets and federation regulations. Despite her many accomplishments, Marilia is as human as the rest of us. In 2005 she attempted suicide before deciding to choose to live abundantly. In 2013, she overcame spondylodiscitis, potentially lethal spinal infection. The video was shot right after her first competition following her short recovery, in March 2014.
Sometimes we forget the positive benefits that this lifestyle gives us emotionally and mentally as well as physically. Watch this video, choose a meaningful life and keep training hard until people want to post videos of you!
