Strength/Conditioning Equipment & Supplies -Whether you’re just starting your garage gym or are looking to upgrade, it’s sometimes hard to know which products are valuable and which are a money pit. Every company on this site is reputable (they’re not staffed by a scam artist in a foreign country who’ll run off with your credit card info) and provides quality equipment that will stand up to the abuse you throw at it. We know because we’ve bought stuff from every company in this list for years with zero complaints. None of us are sponsored by any company on this list, nor do we receive any compensation for posting their name. If it’s on here it’s just because we’ve found them to be reliable. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do your own research, but in our opinion, these are some of the best places to start your search for quality equipment.
EliteFTS – Their tagline is Educating And Outfitting The Strongest Athletes On Earth and this site lives up to it. You name it, they probably have it. It’s a little on the pricey side but they have a lot of sales including a Black Friday blowout and the end of the year clearance that make it a little more wallet friendly. Company founder Dave Tate, is a first generation student of the renowned Louie Simmons and is responsible for a ton of unique bars designed to be forgiving to those of us whose joints have a bit more mileage on them. Shoulder saver pads, elbow sleeves, multi angle bars all had their start with this company. We’re currently testing out their Home Glute Ham Raise which takes up significantly less space than the other options. They should be your go to option for when you want to upgrade a piece of equipment. It’s also a good place to pick up some cool motivational t-shirts. Their YouTube channel is an outstanding source of training information and a place to see their equipment in action.
Rogue Fitness – The most well known CrossFit supplier also provides quality strongman, weightlifting and powerlifting equipment at a reasonable price. Rogue equipment is the supplier of choice for Mark Bell’s Super Training Gym as well as Brandon Campbell’s garage facility. You can find power racks, weightlifting shoes, mobility equipment, comfortable and functional workout clothing and single user versions like the Spud, Inc traveling Farmer’s Walk Handles. We especially like the Rogue Power Bar as a great all around bar for when you’re just starting out. If you want to get all of your stuff in one spot, this is the place to do it and their customer service is top-notch. A nice feature is the three ships free which allows you to order three qualifying items and the order ships free.
Dynabody Fitness – If you enter a high school weight room in the Southern United States, chances are they were supplied by Dynabody. Owner Keith “Heavy” Harris is a former powerlifter and the man who coined the phrase “Go Heavy Or Go Home”. Dynabody also supplies equipment for Southern Powerlifting Federation’s meets so you know the gear is durable. The best-selling point in our opinion is their used equipment section. While you can’t buy used equipment directly from the website, you can browse available equipment, then call them and get a good price on one of their pieces that may have once been in a high school or college weight room. They also custom fabricate equipment and feature a lease option if you want to outfit your training facility for multiple people.
IronMind Enterprises – This site is the grand old man of strength suppliers but shouldn’t be discounted. IronMind claims to focus on weightlifting, strongman, grip, stones and Highland Games but they offer products that can be used by any serious lifter. It’s where you were first able to find the famous Captains Of Crush Grippers and cables before most people had heard of band pull aparts. IronMind equipment is durable enough to be used in the World’s Strongest Man and they were one of the first companies to craft products specifically for the garage lifter. IronMind says they supply Tools of the Trade for Serious Strength Athletes™, with cutting-edge designs and made in USA quality—it’s what we’ve been doing since 1988. Believe that last statement because it’s true.
Black Widow Training Gear – This is my first choice for custom-made, affordable specialty bars, racks and sleds. Meaning if I can’t find it, I’ll probably ask Black Widow to make it. Black Widow was the company that Zach Even Esh and Jason Ferruggia called on to make their ZEE Bar, a multi angle bar based on a strongman log that takes up much less space and is very friendly to older wrists. I especially like their rackable Trap Bar, a rarity as far as Trap Bars go. A nice feature is the hands on approach, if you call the company, you’ll talk to the guy who’s going to make your equipment.
