This isn’t primarily a review site but you do need guidance from time to time to help you avoid buying garbage. So here’s a list of the places I turn to when I want information on whether a product is worth the money. Of course, you should always make your own decision in the end, but the companies on this list will at least give you a starting point and let you know what questions to ask.
Brandon Campbell – Brandon Campbell is owner of Campbell Fitness and his channel is an excellent place to get product reviews and strength training advice. Product reviews covers more than just strength training equipment, Campbell covers the best cameras for an aspiring YouTuber, footwear, supplements even the estimated delivery time for packages ordered from Rogue Fitness. Playlists include but are not limited to: Equipment Reviews, Supplementation, VLOGs and Q&A. There’s even a Gym Music playlist. Bottom line, the channel is on my weekly must watch list and I’m rarely disappointed.
Garage Gym Reviews – What I like about this site is not only can you browse to find out the scoop on equipment but they also send out emails whenever they’ve tested a new piece of equipment. I especially like their breakdown of what to look for in a barbell and the in-depth discussion of the pros and cons of different brands of deadlifting shoes. (There are more options than Chuck Taylors and socks.) And without them, I’d never have found out about Fran Denim and the advantage of wearing their jeans if you have *ahem* thicker thighs. Another nice feature is they also send out emails when one of the major brands has a sale or something goes on clearance. Well worth it.
